The Yemeni Journalists Syndicate (YJS) concluded today, Sunday, July 21, a training course on professional safety for journalists, providing the trainees with knowledge and skills related to covering conflicts and wars.
The YJS organized the training course in cooperation with the International Federation of Journalists and UNESCO.
Twenty three male and female journalists, representing various official and private media outlets and students of the Mass Communication College in Aden, attended the two-day meeting.
The training covered many topics, including planning a media mission, recognizing risks while on duty during riots, dealing with wounds, injuries and bleeding that may happen to journalists or their colleagues during field media coverage. The training course also provided information about digital security.

Thabet expressed his thanks to the Syndicate, the International Federation of Journalists, and UNESCO for organizing such training courses that provide the opportunity for journalists to learn about professional safety methods that protect them from dangers.
